Back when they discovered "double exposures" in the early days of photography. All the ghosts appeared to be translucent humans, as you'd expect with a double exposure. Now days, with the digital technology we don't see ghosts like that any more. Now they are more peculiar amorphous blobs, or wispy lights. Much like the artifacts you'd associate with flashes and a digital medium.

Well, You can't say they don't follow fashion! Laughing
