Hi all,

im looking for a web designer to create a free webpage for the British Sceptic Community.

Big ask but there must be someone who is willing!

The admin team here do this stuff free in the promotion of science and critical thinking for the furtherance of mankind.

America has the best sceptic institutions, lets make this Britains greatest sceptic site Smile

Regards,

Den.

It's not free I know but for about £20 per year you could get a hosting package which gave you Php/My SQL access. This would enable you to set up a site using Joomla, Website Baker or any number of Content Management Systems. This would help you because updates can be done by anyone you choose. So rather than having to buld new pages yourself you could assign others to write articles, submit links or collate news items. Websites are easy, it's keeping them updated that is hard and content management systems make the updating easy and take the emphasis of updating off one person.

Hi wolves,

I haven't a clue what you just said Embarassed

Do you have the time to create a website for The British Sceptic Society and help maintain it?

I cant offer you anything other than the maintenance costs and our gratitude, maybe a little fame when we become popular Wink

Anyway have a think about it and get back to me please,

Regards,

Den.

The simple answer to that is "no, I don't." Sorry.

However, a Content Management System is quite easy to set up and maintain yourself.

Check out:

http://www.joomla.org/

Check out the "About Joomla" page at:

http://www.joomla.org/about-joomla.html

And the online demo.

http://demo.joomla.org/

That should give you an idea of what a content management system is and what it does. Even better... it's free. You just need a suitable webhost to host it. Let me know what you think.
